Admission is open to residents of Goa for 10 yrs (5 yrs for candidates whose parents are of Goa origin) they should have passed the qualifying exam from Goa. Exemption: Children of regular State/Central Govt/Defence employees. Reservations All India seats 15% SC 2% ST 0.5% OBC 15% Freedom Fighters 1% Physically Handicapped 3% CSP 6% Ex-Servicemen 1% NRIs 1 seat. Eligibility Age 17 yrs on December 31 of the year of admission. Academic qualification 12 yrs Senior Secondary with English and secured not less than 50% marks (40% marks for SC/ST and OBC candidates) in the subjects of Physics, Chemistry and Biology taken together at one and the same sitting. Candidates should be medically fit.. Application Procedure Application form and prospectus can be obtained from the colleges on cash payment of Rs. 200. Completed applications should reach the office of the Directorate of Technical Education, Alto-Porvorim, Bardez, Goa 403521 by the notified date. Selection Merit in the qualifying exam in the subjects of Phy, Chem and Biol. In case of tie, candidates securing more marks in Biol are placed higher. List of selected candidates is notified in colleges/local dailies. Fees Tuition fee Rs. 5000. NRI seats US $ 50,000 for complete course. Bond Candidates admitted to MBBS/BDS course are required to execute a bond to serve the state government for a period of 5 years.
