ENGINEERING COMPETITIVE EXAMINATION - HARYANA

COMMON ENGINEERING ENTRANCE TEST (CEET) is conducted by Regional Engineering College, Kurukshetra for admission to BE/BTech/BArch courses at the Government and Private Engineering colleges in the State of Haryana.

Allocation of Seats Free Seats All seats in Government engineering colleges and 50% seats in private engineering colleges. Payment Seats 50% seats including NRIs in private engineering colleges. Payment seats are filled on CEET merit first from the candidates from Haryana and any such payment seat remaining vacant is filled from the candidates from outside Haryana

Reservations SC/ST, BC, Armed Forces personnel, Children of Freedom Fighters, Physically handicapped sports persons.
Domicile Haryana residents (80% of seats are reserved for candidates passing the qualifying exam from schools/collage located in Haryana and 20% seats for Haryana domicile irrespective of the location of Institute from where the candidate has passed qualifying exam). Candidates from outside Haryana are eligible for payment seats.

Eligibility Senior Secondary Certificate Exam (10+2) from Haryana Board/CBSE or equivalent in Eng., Phy, Chem and Maths with 50% marks in PCM. Candidates who have appeared in the qualifying exam are also eligible for CEET. Candidates should be medically fit. 3-yr Diploma holders from Haryana Board of Technical Education are eligible for admission to the second year of Technical Education are eligible for admission to the second year of BE/B Teach course under ‘Lateral Entry Scheme’.

Application Procedure CEET Brochure containing syllabi for the test and other details together with the application form can be obtained on cash payment of Rs. 350 from the Regional Engineering, College, Kurukshetra 136119 or by post on payment of Rs. 375 through bank draft. Completed application should reach the RE by the notified date.

Selection Merit in CEET consisting of objective type multiple choice questions in Phy, Chem and Maths. Test Centres: Ambala, Bhiwani, Chandigarh, Delhi, Faridabad, Grunion, Hisar, Kurukshetra and Sonepat. CEET result is communicated individually to all the candidates.

Admission After the declaration of CEET results, the candidates re required to apply to the Chairman, Admission Committee, Regional Engineering College, Kurukshetra 136119 for centralised admission to any of the Engineering Institutes. Application form can be obtained from REC, Kurukshetra on cash payment of Rs. 250 or Rs. 275 through bank draft, if required by post.
