Eligibility Age
No restriction.

Academic qualification
Pre-Univ. (2 – year) exam of the PUC Board of Karnataka of equivalent securing 50% marks in Phy, Chem, Maths. (35% marks for SC/ST candidates). Candidates should be physically fit.

Application Procedure
Candidates who wish to appear in the entrance test are required to apply separately. Application form with prospectus can be obtained from the College on requisition with a self-addressed unstamped envelope of 23 x 15 cms with DD of Rs. 175 (Rs. 50 for SC/ST candidates) drawn in four of the College. Completed applications should reach the College by the notified date. Selection On the basis of merit in the entrance exam conducted by Director of Technical Education, Karnataka. (Refer State level common details under ‘ Karnataka). Candidates seeking admission against 50% seats allotted to Karnataka should apply to the CET Cell, Bangalore after the notification. Candidates seeking admission against seats reserved for Karnataka students in other RECs should apply to the principal KREC, Surathkal before the due date. Karnataka Regional Engg College will process the application and allot the college and branches preferred by the candidate as per their merit position in the entrance exam.

Fees
Rs. 6,115 including hostel fees is payable on admission. Tuition fee Rs. 2,000 pa (in two instalments).

Hostels
8 hostel blocks to accommodate 1580 students. Mess is run by students and expenditure is shared on dividing basis. Residence is compulsory, Room rent Rs. 300 pa (payable in two instalments).

Scholarships
Scholarships awarded by the Central/State Govts, National Merit scholarships, Loan scholarships, Merit scholarships for children of teachers, SC/ST scholarships, Economically Backward class scholarships, scholarships to children of political sufferers, Merit-cum-Means scholarships and Merit scholarships, to 25% of students are available. Stipend to postgraduate students @ Rs. 1800 pm for 18 months.
