COMPUTERS:
AMC has the advanced state of the art computer facilities with 100 nodes
connected to a Windows NT server (100 MBPS) Unix server and internet server
at City Premises and 90 nodes connected to a Windows NT server (100 MBPS)
Unix server and internet server at Bannerghatta Campus with high network
as unique features. It provides the students with hands and experience
learning the state of the art technology.
EDUCATIONAL TOURS
The College conducts special educational tours of industrial places within
the country. It has also conducted educational tours for management students
to Thailand. Such tours are conducted once in every year. This gives the
students an exposure to working environment and real work situations.
AWARDS
Every year AMC awards its students in the fields of academics, personal
achievements and cultural activities.
AMC presents the Gold, Silver and Bronze medals for the rank holders at
all levels. It also awards prestigious trophies for music and art competitions,
literary activities and sports.
EDUCATIONAL AND CAREER COUNSELLING
AMC believes that career is an integral part of the total educational
process. Emphasis is placed upon career planning in fields which utilizes
the students abilities, experience and interests. The career planning
cell, consisting of faculty members with professional experience offers
guidance to students in preparing and planning for their careers. Students
can be assured of receiving the best guidance and advice on higher education
career opportunities and job opportunities.
SYMPOSIA AND SEMINARS
Conducted as an annual feature organized by the special committee and
the students club in which guest speakers of repute from public as well
as the private sector share their knowledge, experience and views with
faculty and students. This annual feature also provides an opportunity
to the students to exhibit their organising skills, build contacts and
develop public speaking skills.
TRANSPORT
The college has 10 buses to provide transport facilities to the students
from various parts of the city to the College Campus.
CULTURAL & SPORTS ACTIVITIES
Modern education lays special emphasis on total personality development
of an individual. It is felt that alongside academic activities, one needs
a healthy exposure to other aspect of life too. To make a student socially
aware, sensitive and a thinking human, it is necessary that his other
mental faculties are also excited & exploited to the fullest/maximum.
To provide a much-needed diversion from studies, a number of co-curricular
activities are necessary, which not only help in getting an intellectual
& aesthetic experience to a student but also form a training ground for
organisational ability.
As such, the college has been holding various Literary & Cultural
competitions annually. Healthy inter-departmental competitions bring out
the competitive spirit of a student besides providing him an insight into
his own personality. These competitions also help build confidence in
a student enough to participate in various inter-collegiate competitions
& win laurels for himself and the college too!
In recognition of these facts, the college has instituted various departmental
trophies for excellence in these co-curricular activities besides many
individual prizes.
Each year a new cultural committee is formed to provide opportunity to
a large number of students to test their leadership qualities. This committee's
major activities are to hold a number of literary competitions such as
creative writing Debate etc. and cultural competitions like Dramatics,
Music, Dance & also Flower arrangement, Rangoli etc. for the aesthetically
oriental.
A large number of students participate in these activities enthusiastically
and benefit from the experience. To top it all, the best of these performances
are staged on the college Annual Day to showcase the talents AMC.
