ADMISSIONS AND ELIGIBILITY
- Admission
for the first year of the course shall be open to the students who have
passed the two years Pre University examination (Science) conducted
by Karnataka State Pre University Board,
- The candidates
shall have secured a minimum of 50% of marks in the aggregate of Physics,
Chemistry and Mathematics of Second year Pre University examination,
or at the end of 12 year public examination.
- The B.Sc
graduates shall also be considered eligible for admission to first year
B.E. course if they have secured a minimum of 50% of marks in the aggregate
of subjects.
- The three
years Diploma Holders in appropriate branch of Engineering granted (awarded)
by the Board of Technical Education, Government of Karnataka, or any
other Diploma qualification considered equivalent there to by this University,
who have secured not less than 50% of the total maximum marks in the
final examination of the Diploma course are eligible for admission for
the first year of B.E. course in appropriate branch.
- The candidates
belonging to Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes and any other groups
classified by the Government of Karnataka for such purpose from time
to time shall be considered eligible for the admission.
- The candidates
other than those who have passed the examination of Pre University Examination
Board, Engineering Diploma Examination of the Board of Technical Education
Karnataka and B.Sc degree examination from any of the Universities of
Karnataka state, have to obtain eligibility certificate for seeking
admission to B.E degree course from Vishveshwaraiah Technological University.
