50% of the total seats are reserved for minorities and the State Govt fills up the rest 50% seats. The selection of candidates for the minorities' seats are done from the merit list prepared on the results of the All India Entrance Test called "MACET TEST" held by the College. The standards of the test confirms to the standards laid down by the Government of Bihar for their own Entrance Test for filling the rest 50% seats of the college. The
"MACET TEST" will consist of the following three subjects of one-hour
duration each: Both object objective type and short-answer type question will be set in English in the MACET Test. As far as possible, the questions will be of the same standard as those set for I.Sc. Or 10+2 or equivalent examinations. The examinees will be required to answer their questions in English. The Centre/centers of examination will be at Patna. About a month after the MACET TEST is held, some examinees will be called to appear before the committee for counselling, verification of their identities etc. Results of MACET will be announced after this process has been completed. 1. ) The tuition fee and other charges shall be levied in accordance with the direction of the Supreme Court. All India council for Technical Education and decision of the State Government taken in light of such direction. Students will be admitted in each higher class after being eligible for admission in that class and fees will be realized within one month of admission in that class. A fine of Rs. 500/- only will be imposed on students who do not pay their fees within one month of their admission in 2nd year or higher classes. The names of students who do not pay their fees even after that will be struck off from the rolls. 2. ) 50% of the total seats are reserved for Muslim Minorities, out of which, 50% are "FREE SEATS" and the rest 50% are "PAID SEAT". Fee prescribed by the State Govt. six year ago was Rs. 6000/- and Rs. 27,000/- per annum for "THREE SEATS" and "PAID SEAT" respectively. Revision of fees is under active consideration of the State Govt. If the students are admitted before the fees are revised, the above-mentioned amount will be realized by way of deposit towards tuition fee for First Year and admission will be provisional. After the fee is fixed, students will be required to pay the remaining amount is not paid within two weeks, the provisional admission will stand automatically cancelled and the seat of failing vacant will be filled up by other students according to merit. Charges : All India Council for Technical Education have approved realization of development Charges of Rs. 3,000/- per annum from "Free seats" student and Rs. 8,000/- per annum from "Paid Seats" student. These charges will be realized at the time of admission from students admitted in the session 2000-2001 after it is approved by the State Govt. If a student admitted against "FREE SEAT" fails at the Part I Engineering Examination, he will forfeit his right to continue as free student. He may be admitted against "PAID SEAT" after passing the Part I Examination in the next two examinations. In addition
to the Annual Fees, the following miscellaneous annual charges will also
be realized t the time of realization of fees: Fees once deposit will not be refunded. As per the rules of A.I.C.T.E.
