The Institute has seven hostels including two Girls Hostels, all of which
are single seated. A hostel room contains a cot, study table, a mattress
& a chair. Student are not permitted to keep electronic gadgets, heaters,
pets in the hostel each of the hostels has a warden who is responsible
for the efficient running of the hostel including the mess. Ragging is
totally banned in the institute. This year hostel facility may not be
available for boys however a room may be allotted to girl's student in
Girls hostels.
With the objective of all round personality development of the students,
the co curricular & extra curricular activities have been made compulsory
with the regular activities. These activities are duly accredited in semester
examinations. For coordination of these activities INTECH STUDENTS
SPORTS AND CULTURAL COUNCIL (ISSAC) is constituted under the
professor in charge. For all the first year students NCC/NSS is compulsory.
Annual sports, athletics' meet and cultural meet (ENCORE) are organized
regularly by the Institute.
Training & Placement The Institute has a separate training
& placement division. The III year students of the institute are required
to undergo 8 weeks practical training in the industrial establishments
where adequate facilities exist. The students are assigned project work
before they proceed for practical training to these establishments. This
is a part of student's curriculum and 5 credits are fixed for training
evaluation. For placement, reputed industrial organizations have responded
in favors during previous years. Majority of students are serving in reputed
sectors. A significant number of students have already been selected in
central civil services.
