Triveni Educational
and Social Welfare Society were established in 1987 by renowned educationists.
It is a non-profit making charitable organization registered under the
Societies Registration Act of 1860. The main aim of the society is to
provide opportunities for quality education to talented students, particularly
those belonging to under privileged families; to develop and implement
and integrated and comprehensive programme of educational development
so as to catalyze social transformation; to facilities the attainment
of national objectives of accelerating the process of modernization and
economics growth, promoting equality and social justice and enhancing
efficiency and productivity. The Society strives for the promotion of
education in various spheres, viz.technical, Industrial, Commercial and
vocational. With these aims, it has established a Public School, a Teachers'
Training Institute and a Management Institute. To provide man making education
is the basic aim of the society.

Management education is one of the most significants components of human
resource development in the process of major transformation requiring
innovative ways to meet the challenges of the evolving global scenario
and changing environment. It has great potenial for contributing to the
nation's economy by improving the overall qualitative aspect of living
as well as increasing the efficiency and productivity of employees in
various organizations. The opening up of Indian economy and the liberalization
Policy of the Government has further generated the demand for professionally
trained managers in specific areas of entrepreneurial culture to develop
competitive advantage.
To meet the above challenges,the MANAGEMENT EDUCATION & RESEARCH INSTITUTE (MERI) has been established.
