THE X-NETWORK

Xavier Institute was inaugurated on 3rd December 1995. It is a venture of the Madhya Pradesh Jesuit Society. It forms a network with other well-known Jesuit Institute in India:

i) Indian Social Institute (ISI), New Delhi (1951)

ii) Xavier Labour Relations Institute (XLRI), Jamshedpur (1949)

iii) Xavier Institute Social Service (XISS), Ranchi (1955), and

iv) Xavier Institute of Management (XIM), Bhubaneswar (1985)

XIDAS also relates with other Institutions of national standing such as:

i) Institute of Rural Management (IRMA) at Anand, Gujarat

ii) Entrepreneur Development Institute of India (EDII), Ahemedabad

iii) Indian institute of Forest Management (IIFM), Bhopal

iv) Institute of Social Science (ISS), New Delhi.

XIDAS functions as a rural development resource center for the State of Madhya Pradesh by means of research, project assessment, training courses, escorting of new projects. It works in understanding with the state/Central Governments, and national and international development agencies. The MBA (Rural Management) is the e most important programme started till now by the new Institution.
