ADMISSION
Application
form and prospectus can be obtained from the Principal. Bapuji Dental
College, Davangere - 577 004. Karnataka on Payment of Rs.200 for
B.D.S./M.D.S by Demand Draft drawn in favour of BAPUJI DENTAL COLLEGE
AND HOSPITAL payable at Davangere.
ADVANCE
RESERVATION
Due
to heavy rush for seats, during the admission time, a few seats have been
set aside for advance reservation. Enquiries to this effect can
be made to the Chairman, Bapuji Dental College, Davangere. This
facility closes by the end of April, every year.
Minimum
Qualification
- The candidate
should have completed the age of 17 years as on 31st December of the
Academic year of admission.
- The applicant
should have passed the two year PREUNIVERSITY Examination of Karnataka
or its equivalent Examination.
- He /
She should have studied Physics, Chemistry and Biology in the qualifying
Examination.
- A Candidate
who has passed B.Sc., Examination (with the above subjects) from a recognised
Indian University is also eligible for admission.
- The Candidate
should have secured not less than 50% aggregate in the science subjects
(physics, Chemistry and Biology) in the qualifying Examination. However,
for Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe candidates, the minimum marks
required is 40 per cent.
NOTE:Any
individual case of doubt or uncertainity regarding eligibility must
be referred to the University, for clarification.
- The Candidate
should be medically fit.
Exemption
to M.B.B.S., Degree Holders:
Candidates
who have obtained the degree of M.B.B.S or an equivalent qualification
and desire to obtain the degree of B.D.S in addition, shall undergo two
academic years of study in the Dental College.
REGULATION
AND SCHEME FOR B.D.S. EXAMINATION
We
follow a yearly scheme. A University Examination is conducted at
the end of every academic year. Failure in this Examination in more
than one subject will render the candidate unfit for the subsequent academic
year. Failure in a single subject ensures the candidate to get into
the next academic year. He/she is required to pass the failed subject
in the next examination which is held within 6 months.
