WHAT IS TUITION GRANT?
Tuition fee for the Course is $10,700 or Rs. 267500/- per annum. To obtain the 80% Tuition Grant, the student has to sign an agreement with the Government of Singapore. The Government of Singapore undertake to pay the 80% Tuition fee (ie, S$ 8560 equal to Rs. 2,14000/-) on behalf of the student. Therefore, the payable tuition fee will be S$2140 (Singapore dollars) or Rs. 55000/- per annum, payable in two equal installments. (This is equal to the fee for the Govt. Engineering College payment for seats in India) Under the terms of tuition grant, these students are required to work in Singapore for three years upon completion of their courses. Besides enabling them to discharge some of their obligation to the Singapore public for the high subsidy of their education paid out of public funds, the bond will help them secure employment after the completion of their courses. Students who do not wish to sign the deed and serve the bond may choose to pay the full Course fee. The qualified candidate has the potential to earn between S$1500 to s$1800 per month ie, Approx Rs. 37,500/= to Rs. 45,500 · All figures mentioned above are approximate only.
ACCOMMODATION /FOOD
All students will take up the per arranged accommodation plan, where the students share a room furnished flat provided with T.V., Telephone, Fridge, Washing machine etc.. Accommodation food/traving approx Rs. 12,500; You should note that being a student you can work as a part timer legally to support yourself quite comfortably after Ist semester.
SPONSORSHIP !
Students who gain admission to any of the five Science Diploma courses Nayang Polytechnic and apply for sponsorship provided by Government restructed Hospital. Sponsorship students will be awarded monthly basis by the sponsoring organization to meet their tuition fees (Approx: 23000 per month) Upon successful completion of the course, sponsored student will work in the sponsoring organization for a period of three years.
